How to Record HBO Max on a Windows 10 / 11 PC
Step 1 – Download and install Audials Movie
Start by downloading and installing the Audials Movie software onto your Windows PC. It’s free to download and doesn’t require any registration. After starting the software, click “Format” in the lower section of Audials Movie and then click “Video Streaming”.
Step 2 – Start recording from HBO Max
Firstly, click the HBO Max button on Audials Movie. Next, open hbomax.com in your internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge) before selecting the movie or TV show that you’d like to record. Audial Movie will start recording the stream immediately once you start playing the video.
In order to achieve optimal video quality, remember to play your chosen video in its original size. Audials Movie has a control panel which will display the progress of your HBO Max recording.
Step 3 – Audials Movie will record from HBO Max and save to your computer
When the recording of your video stream is complete, it will be transferred to the Audials playlist on the right-hand side of your screen. Audials Movie allows you to record and save HBO Max streaming in various video files formats such as MP4, WMV, AVI and 3GP. After recording the video, Audials Movie will automatically tag the file. It is important to note that this comes with the following restrictions:
- If you do not watch your downloaded videos, they will expire after 30 days. If you do watch them, they will expire after 48 hours.
- You are entitled to a maximum of 30 downloaded videos on your device.
- If a video is removed from the HBO Max app, you will not be able to watch it, regardless of whether you have previously downloaded it.
